In the last few weeks, we had been seeing
Sainsbury's on the news about their
initiative to reduce customers using plastic bags.
Including introducing new designer reuse bags: "
I am not a plastic bag", but bad enough this bag only earn them just few of the fame. Customers would not be able to buy the bags any more, because they become an fashion icon, and eBay begins to sell it.....
Also
they gave away normal reuse bags just for one day, wish their customers would use them again.. However, it never
happen in my office. People just forget about their responsibility and just like to be take the easy way.
I would like to highlight that M&S is doing very good in this way by launching "Plan A". Now they are doing a trial in Norther Ireland to encourage customers to use fewer carriers. Throughout June they will offer free newly-designed reuse
bags for each food transaction. Then they would charge 5p for each standard food carrier bags in July.
I think it is a very good
practices to encourage customer to use less bags.
